VersaDock gets Jersey RNLI
When the RNLI in St Helier, Jersey, needed a larger floating dock as a safehouse for its Atlantic 85 RIB, it chose Marine IP’s VersaDock solution.
The VersaDock allows the RNLI’s heavy duty 8.5m RIB to mount the dock in seconds and launch itself back into the water quickly during an emergency.
Marine IP designed the dock to have a two-part launch system, where the boat can either be in ‘standby’ at the back of the dock or hauled out for maintenance.
VersaDock docks are made up of modular blocks so they are easily adaptable to a variety of docking needs.
In this case the company specified the dock to be 11 floats wide so the crew can easily clean the hull, carry out maintenance and load and remove casualties and equipment with ease.
