Whale transports you back in time

Whale are working in partnership with the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum to support the Atmospheric Railway display at their base in Cultra.

The Whale Gusher Titan pump which has been donated is part of an interactive exhibit in the railway gallery. This is a working model which shows how the vacuum created by the Whale pump sucks a railway carriage up an incline. There was a real example of this in Dalkey, near Dublin in the Victorian era.
