Antenna manufacturer wins largest order for the Asia market

US-headquartered marine antenna manufacturer Shakespeare Marine has reported its largest order for the Asian market, totalling nearly a quarter of a million US dollars.

Confirmed this month and already in manufacture, Shakespeare Marine has received an order for more than 2,000 SSB and VHF antennas for the marine sector in Asia. The company’s largest single order since the global pandemic hit.

Dave Manasseh, European sales manager for Shakespeare Marine, says: “The Asian market is an important market for our brand, however, the covid pandemic made it difficult for us to travel and present solutions for the customer. We are delighted to be able to work closely together again and we look forward to further growing our presence in this territory.”

The customer wishes to remain anonymous but plans to distribute the antennas across the southern Asia region. The primary uses for the antennas will be for light commercial shipping and fishing, where the strength and quality of Shakespeare antennas is a requirement.

In 2022, Shakespeare Marine, which operates from its global headquarters in Columbia, South Carolina, announced that it was bringing manufacturing for a selection of its antenna back to the UK.
