Aquamare Marine forecasts more growth as it appoints new Technical Sales Manager
Plymouth-based company Aquamare Marine was founded by just two people almost ten years ago. They have just appointed Andrew Jones into the newly created role of Technical Sales Manager to help grow the business.
The company which offers sales and support to the marine industry has seen steady growth and now employs 30 people worldwide with offices in the UK, USA and Australia.
Andrew is new to the marine sector, but having started as an engineer, he has worked all over the world managing large multidiscipline railway projects and more recently has focussed on business development roles in the South West and is relishing the new challenge.
“I am thrilled to join such a dynamic company and such an exciting industry,” says Andrew. “My focus will be in developing and implementing the relationships and structures we need to take the company to the next level of growth. The safety critical world of railway signalling demands work of the highest quality and with a constant focus on delivery and I have already seen that the marine industry has exactly the same ethos.”
These views are echoed by Aquamare Marine Director, Mike Sommerfeld, who says, “We have a highly experienced team of marine engineers already delivering an excellent service in partnership with the best OEMs in the industry. By recruiting outside of the industry, Andrew brings a fresh perspective and new ideas to our business that will help us grow our company in a controlled and sustainable manner.”
Aquamare Marine has also recently launched its own ultra-sonic antifouling product which you can read about here: /aquamare-marine-launch-ultra-sonic-antifouling-product/
