Lürssen’s Moon Sand arrives in London

Formerly known as project 13800, Lürssen’s 55.5m motoryacht, Moon Sand arrived in London after leaving the company’s shipyard in Germany.

Moored just downstream of the London landmarks Tower Bridge and the Tower of London the instantly recognisable Moon Sand has spent a week at the heart of the city’s financial and historic centre.

Lürssen, known for manufacturing some of the largest yachts in the world, is also actively targeting projects in the 55 to 75 metre range. Moon Sand is the company’s a first step in re-establishing the brand as a serious shipyard for yachts in the size bracket.

Designed by Bannenberg & Rowell, Moon Sand is described as sporting “very distinctive lines” and was commissioned by experienced yacht owners who had very precise requirements.
