New leadership at Mercator Marine Group
Mercator Marine Group (MMG), a supplier of technical parts and accessories in the recreational marine industry in Europe, has appointed Jarno Berkhof as its new CEO.
MMG comprises a group of four marine companies based in the Netherlands and Germany: Allpa Marine Equipment, Combi Noord, Technautic and Allpa G.m.b.H, and offers a range of over 65,000 products in total.
“Jarno Berkhof brings a wealth of experience, and a strong track record of success gained within the recreational marine market,” says an MMG spokesperson in a statement. “His strategic vision, combined with proven leadership and commercial skills, makes him the perfect fit to lead Mercator Marine Group into our next phase of growth and we are thrilled to have him onboard.”
In 2021, Allpa Marine Equipment from Nijmegen and Allpa Marine Equipment GmbH from Germany were acquired. Combi Noord of Grou followed in 2022. With the recent acquisition of Technautic and Technik Fürs Boot, the group says it has set its sights on ‘becoming the largest (B2B) supplier in the field of water sports in Europe.’
