New marina ‘click and collect’ service from Ocean Safety

Marine safety equipment specialist, Ocean Safety, is making product servicing easier for its customers by expanding the network of its collection and drop off locations throughout the UK.

The company has partnered with marina groups, including MDL Marinas and Yacht Havens Group, to offer this service to a selection of their marinas in proximity to the Ocean Safety branches at Southampton, Plymouth and Glasgow.

Boat owners will now be able to bring their equipment – typically liferafts, lifejackets and other equipment that needs regular servicing to stay in date – to the dock office at any of the selected marinas. The full list of collection points can be found on Ocean Safety’s website. Participating marinas will also be displaying an Ocean Safety sticker on the door.

Ocean Safety says the marinas’ berth holders will be able to book their products in for collection and servicing via a simple web booking form, which can be located on the Ocean Safety website or by scanning the QR code with their phone. Once the equipment is collected, Ocean Safety will liaise with each customer directly to complete the service requirements. Once servicing has been completed, the equipment is then delivered back to the original collection point.

“Being able to offer a greater number of options for our well-established collection and delivery service is more vital than before, helping to save our customers unnecessary journeys,” says Ocean Safety managing director, Alistair Hackett. “The fleet of vans that operate from Southampton, Glasgow and Plymouth branches are now within easy reach of many more of our customers.”
