Seafin Charters relaunches luxury Solent cruises

Seafin Charters, based in Port Hamble, has relaunched its day charter packages across the Solent. Like all businesses in the marine industry, Seafin was forced to adapt quickly during the pandemic.

As a ‘floating’ event venue for parties of up to 30, her services were suddenly grounded. Unable to move from her base over the last 12 months, the 72ft motor yacht (built 1961) was re-marketed as a unique ‘staycation’ on the Hamble River. And last summer she became a base for ‘bubbles’ to sit back, unwind and enjoy paddleboarding, picnicking and relaxation.

“Obviously a global pandemic was not in my thinking for the 2020 season, like a lot of hospitality businesses Seafin was hit hard by the restrictions,” says Paul Hunt, Seafins operations manager. “Luckily we were able to rent her out for staycations and associated services to keep her ‘afloat’. Now myself and the crew are itching to get up and running again as we ease back into, hopefully, a glorious summer.”

The company is currently taking bookings for corporate and private events. Seafin’s day charters travel to destinations including Buckler’s Hard, Beaulieu, Yarmouth, and Cowes and include the use of paddleboards and jet skis.
