American design studio, Gary Grant Design, has introduced its concept for a 153-metre hybrid superyacht, which is said to redefine ‘design, speed and sustainability’ and reach speeds up to 50 knots.

The concept features the designer’s signature sculpted glass superstructure, creating panoramic views. Combined with the floor-to-ceiling glazing in the main saloon, the area’s headroom exceeds 5.2 metres.

Open-play layouts and convertible beach clubs offer designs that support indoor-outdoor flow as well as ‘wellness, entertainment, and privacy.’

Measuring 153 metres, the yacht concept is among the largest hybrid yachts ever designed, and Gary Grant Design has dubbed it a ‘new benchmark in ultra-luxury and innovation’ at this scale.

According to the spec, the yacht would reach up to 50 knots thanks to a hybrid propulsion system integrating Wärtsilä 31 engines with electric drives and an extensive energy storage system, powering two waterjets.

Additional performance comes from a pair of Rolls-Royce MT30 engines driving a further two waterjets.
