Frigomar’s new BLDC Variable Speed Inverter Drive air conditioning was named Product of the Year 2019 at the annual British Marine Electrical & Electronics Association Conference.
Frigomar BLDC is said to be 50% more energy efficient than a traditional air compressor and silent; it starts at a very slow speed with no peak current and as the room approaches temperature, it slows down, ensuring a constant, comfortable climate on board. It makes it possible for vessels without a generator to run air conditioning silently from just a small inverter. In ECO mode, these units draw no more than 200W, removing the need to run a generator.
