The Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC) has confirmed the dates for the 2027 Admiral’s Cup, building on the success of the event’s much-anticipated revival in 2025 after a more than two-decade hiatus.

The next edition of this iconic offshore racing series will run from 15-30 July 2027, bringing together the world’s top sailing teams to compete for one of the sport’s most prestigious trophies.

Following the energy and enthusiasm of the 2025 event – the first Admiral’s Cup since 2003 – the RORC anticipates an even larger international fleet. The schedule will open on Thursday 15 July, with measurement and inspection, leading up to the start of the Rolex Fastnet Race on Saturday 24 July.

“The 2025 Admiral’s Cup marked a new chapter for this historic competition,” comments Admiral’s Cup race director, Steve Cole. “The response from sailors, teams, and supporters was extraordinary. The passion, skill, and camaraderie on display proved that the Admiral’s Cup remains the ultimate test of team racing in offshore sailing. In 2027, we intend to raise the bar even higher.”

Pierre Casiraghi, vice president and skipper of the victorious 2025 Yacht Club de Monaco team, adds: “The Admiral’s Cup is an extraordinary event, brilliantly organised and fiercely competitive. I’m so proud to have been part of it.”

First contested in 1957, the Admiral’s Cup quickly earned a reputation as the unofficial world championship of offshore racing. Its demanding format combines inshore and offshore races, including the legendary Rolex Fastnet Race (with this year marking its centenary), testing every facet of a team’s skill, endurance and tactical acumen.

RORC will announce further details of the 2027 edition – including entry criteria, race schedule and the social programme – in the coming months.

Teams from Europe, the Americas, Asia and Oceania have already expressed strong interest in returning or making their debut in this celebrated competition.
