Alex Thomson Racing releases new video to celebrate two months until Vendée Globe
The Alex Thomson racing team reports that it’s impressed with the boat’s performance and pleased to see that some of the big decisions it made – particularly in relation to the set up and ergonomics – are paying off.
“The boat is performing really well. It feels like we’ve made some very good design decisions,” Thomson says.
With Thomson’s qualification for the Vendée Globe finalised in the summer, Hugo Boss went into the shed for her final service ahead of the Vendée.
Each component of the boat was checked and serviced, a process which takes place before every round-the-world yacht race, and before Thomson recommences training.
The Vendée Globe is due to start on 8th November.
