Jean-Paul Roche, founder and CEO of the French marine equipment manufacturer and distributor Alliance Marine Group, has stepped down.

Roche, who founded Alliance Marine in France in 1999, hands his presidency to Jérémy Tedguy, currently head of finance and acquisition.

Since its founding, the Alliance Marine Group has grown to become a specialist in the distribution of boating equipment, reinforced by the acquisition of French companies SEIMI, Euromarine, Reya, Accastillage Diffusion, Berthelot, Plastimo, Kent, Berra and then Sogeric, HDS and Lognav.

“I launched the Alliance Marine project in September 1999, and 24 years later, I think that we can all be satisfied with the progress made together,” says Roche. “I am very proud to pass on the chairmanship of the group to Jérémy Tedguy, who, with a management team up to the multiple challenges, will seize and create opportunities that will allow Alliance Marine to pursue its development.”

Since 2017, the Alliance Marine Group has acquired numerous subsidiaries in Germany, Italy, United Kingdom, USA, Spain, Sweden and the Netherlands: Bukh Bremen, FNI, Ocean Safety, Typhoon, Revere Survival, Dismarina, Navinordic, 12 seemeilen, Marathon Leisure, Comstedt, AR Peachment and Jobe Sports.

In 2022, Navico Group announced a new distribution partnership with Alliance Marine.

The firm now encompasses 850 employees in eight countries. It posted a turnover of €310m in 2022.
