Applications closing for Monaco Marina Innovation Awards as investors confirmed

Applications for the Smart & Sustainable Marina Innovation Awards close on 22 July, as organisers have confirmed the first investors set to take part in this year’s programme.

The awards form part of the Monaco Smart & Sustainable Marina Rendezvous, which takes place at the Yacht Club de Monaco on 20–21 September. Organisers say the programme is designed to connect startups and scaleups developing marina technologies with venture capital, angel and corporate investors.

Earlier this year, the event partnered with Yachting Ventures to co-host the awards.

Selected companies will first pitch during a series of online jury sessions in early September, with the three highest-scoring startups progressing to a live final at the Yacht Club de Monaco.

“For most founders, getting in front of active investors is one of the hardest parts of raising capital,” says Gabriella Richardson, founder of Yachting Ventures.

“Every selected startup in the Innovation Awards will have multiple opportunities to present to an international panel of investors during our online jury sessions, receive meaningful feedback, and start building relationships before arriving in Monaco.”

Confirmed investors include representatives from Faber VC, Ocean One Ventures, Assembly Ventures, Yamaha Motor Ventures, MB92 Shipyard, TransEurope Marinas, Yacht Club de Monaco and M3 Monaco, alongside a number of angel investors and independent industry consultants.

The awards are open to startups and scaleups developing technologies, including smart marina infrastructure, electrification, water management, environmental monitoring, dockside logistics, automation, connectivity and bio-based construction materials.

Applications close on 22 July. Apply to take part in the event here.
