Astondoa’s determined expansion continues with new reach in Türkiye

Astondoa has taken what it describes as another significant step in its international expansion strategy. This time it’s welcoming Yacht Zone as its official dealer for Türkiye.
The idea is that the collaboration will allow the Spanish shipyard to strengthen its presence in a market that is seeing growing interest in exclusive recreational boating. Astondoa believes Türkiye is rapidly becoming one of the most attractive destinations in Eastern Mediterranean luxury yachting tourism.
“We are incredibly excited to begin this new chapter in Türkiye,” says Ione Astondoa, COO Astondoa Shipyard. “The Turkish market shows remarkable dynamism and a deep respect for maritime tradition—values that also define our brand. With Yacht Zone as our local partner, we are confident that we will be able to connect with Turkish yacht owners and provide them with a truly unique experience in the world of luxury yachting.”

Astondoa expanded its international presence with the addition of UAE’s Jonacor Yachts to its dealer network in October 2024 and in 2023, the firm incorporated Frattin Yachting into its dealership network to boost the shipyard’s presence on the Adriatic coast.
Ione Astondoa (pictured above) recently told MIN that the company is rethinking its strategies and strengthening certain markets, such as with international clients who sail in the Balearic Islands and value boats as a solid, high-quality investment.
She believes current geo-political challenges are also an incentive. “We are well aware that opening up new markets is key to our business strategy. In this sense, in recent months we have strengthened our international presence in the Middle East, in Dubai, and the Eastern Mediterranean, in Cyprus and Lebanon.”
With an established reputation in the Turkish boating industry, Yacht Zone will provide the
opportunity to offer the experience of yachting aboard Astondoa yachts in Türkiye and the wider Mediterranean region.
“We are honoured to represent such an iconic brand as Astondoa in Türkiye,” says Gursel Dokuk, founder of Yacht Zone. “The shipyard’s century-long heritage, attention to detail, and commitment to bespoke craftsmanship align perfectly with the values we uphold. We see strong and growing demand in Turkiye for premium, tailor-made yachts, and we believe Astondoa’s portfolio offers exactly what discerning yacht owners are seeking. This partnership marks a new and exciting chapter not only for our company, but for the Turkish yachting scene as a whole.”
