A+T Instruments appoints new head of sales

Pete Simmonds

A+T Instruments, a UK-based manufacturer of high-end yacht instruments, has announced Pete Simmonds as the firm’s new head of sales.

A+T Instruments says Simmonds, an experienced yacht captain and marina manager, will lead the company’s sales in superyachts and race boats, building on the current base of over 500 yachts currently using A+T equipment.

Earlier this year, MIN also reported that A+T had appointed Nils Jolliffe as the firm’s chief operating officer.

Simmonds, who is originally from Sydney but is now based in the UK, has captained boats including Saudade, P2 and Escapade and was electrical technical officer on S/Y Maltese Falcon.

“I’ve stared at A+T’s equipment during tens of thousands of miles of sailing,” he says. “It’s always been a stand-out quality product to use, simple and reliable.

“It’s always been a pleasure to deal with the A+T team, and I’m really looking forward to working with them.”

A+T Instruments director, Hugh Agnew, adds: “We are delighted to welcome Pete to the A+T team; he brings a huge amount of energy, experience and contacts to help our rapidly growing position at the pinnacle of the instrument market for upgrades and new builds.”
