Azimut presents four US premieres at FLIBS 2023

Verve 48

Azimut is exhibiting 15 yachts, including four American premieres, at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which takes place 25-29 October 2023.

The Italian shipyard showcases the new Verve 48 outboard, alongside the Magellano 60 crossover and Grande 36M superyacht and the sporty new S7.

Verve 48

Verve 48 (pictured above) is the new sport-weekender making its debut in the United States, with design by Azimut in collaboration with Francesco Struglia both for the interiors and exteriors. The Verve Series has made a mark on the US market, selling over 110 units in three years, thanks to its ability to combine speed and excitement.

Building on the heritage of its predecessor Verve 47, the Verve 48 is powered by three 600 HP Mercury outboards that take the yacht to a top speed of 50 knots. The model features a larger, all-new stern area, which flows on the left hand side into an extensive swim platform, forming a single space on the water’s edge. The in-hull glazed surface rises as far as the gunwale, giving the helm station a view of the wake forming on each side of the hull.

Magellano 60

Magellano 60

Fresh from its success at the European boat shows, Magellano 60 is the second new Azimut product making the trip to Fort Lauderdale. This crossover featuring a timeless design and elegant lines is for owners who love long cruises and spending extended periods on board with their family and friends.

Magellano 60 features the latest R&D developments from Azimut-Benetti Group, and is the model Azimut chose for the first voyages powered by HVOlution biofuel, produced by Eni Sustainable Mobility with renewable raw materials to reduce CO2 emissions by over 80 per cent compared to a yacht of comparable size powered by fossil fuel.

To improve the cruising experience and the onboard lifestyle still further, Azimut has developed a new smart boat automation system with Google Cloud, making it possible to interact with the yacht and control on board systems remotely and in real-time.

Grande 36M

At the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show 2023 Azimut is also presenting Grande 36M, a superyacht featuring innovative design choices that create barrier-free environments, including the concept of the semi-walkaround upper deck, which runs on the same level from the stern almost to the tip of the bow.

The glazed surfaces in the sky lounge open and disappear completely from view, turning the deck into a huge space from which to scan the horizon. The exterior design is by Alberto Mancini, and the interior design is by Achille Salvagni. Grande 36M also forms part of Azimut’s family of low emission yachts, with the high-efficiency D2P displacement-to-planing hull, designed by P.L. Ausonio Naval Architecture together with the shipyard’s R&D office, and extensive use of carbon fibre, reducing the weight of the superstructure.

These design features make it possible to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 30 per cent, at both slow cruising and high speeds, compared to boats of the same weight and size with a traditional chine hull.

Visitors to the boat show will also be able to examine another of Azimut’s low emission yachts, the new S7, a super-lightweight, high-tech sports yacht.

By pairing the Volvo IPS triple propulsion system with the most advanced naval architecture in the category, Azimut says the S7 delivers maximum performance while reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 30 per cent compared to shaft line boats of the same weight and size with a traditional chine hull.

With exteriors designed in collaboration with yacht designer Alberto Mancini, this 72-footer has chic residential-style interiors designed by creative boutique Yachtique, making its debut on board an Azimut yacht.
