Barcelona Boat Show 2025 redesigned to attract high-end buyers
The 2025 Barcelona International Boat Show is returning, running from October 8 to 12, with an expanded edition that will put a brighter spotlight on the superyacht sector.
Organised by Fira de Barcelona in collaboration with Spain’s National Association of Nautical Companies (ANEN), this 62nd edition will see the event expand its exhibition space to include Barcelona’s pier, as well as the Moll de la Fusta and a section of docks in Marina Port Vell.
Highlighting the increase in scale and variety, this year’s show is set to feature nearly 200 exhibitors and around 260 boats (130 on the water). Notably, 24 per cent of the fleet on display will be yachts in the 16-30 metre range.
Exhibitors include Absolute, Azimut, Bluegame, De Antonio Yachts, Excess, Fyord, Garmin, Girbau, Jeanneau, Pardo, Movilmotors, Nuva, Touron, Recambios Marinos, Rodman, Sasga, Sealine, Sessa, Solaris, Solé, X-Yacht, Yamaha, Zephir and Zodiac, as well as those specialising in catamarans such as Leopard, Lagoon, and Fountaine Pajot. Parent firms like Brunswick and Beneteau Group, will have a range of vessels on display.
New exhibitors for this year, including Sunreef, Horizon (showcasing the new Horizon FD 100 model), Maxim, and Rio Yachts, among others, will also make their debut.
There will also be numerous companies presenting marine products and accessories, including Garmin, Yamaha, and Movilmotors, among others, showcasing engines, marine electronics, and other systems.
The 2025 Barcelona International Boat Show will also introduce “The Village,” a 2,500-square-metre hospitality and networking hub located on Drassanes Pier. Designed as a meeting point for buyers, exhibitors, and industry professionals, it will also feature brand activations and catering from chef Rafa Zafra, who heads up a number of renowned restaurants across Europe.
Visitors of the show will also benefit from new transport links, including an electric shuttle boat service from De Antonio Yachts, connecting the Barcelona and Espana piers.
From 8-11 October, the Agora-Port programme at the Edifici Terminal Drassanes will bring together over 100 experts across more than 30 sessions, with speakers representing institutions such as the Port of Barcelona, the Port of Tangier, Marinas de España, and the Barcelona Nautical Institute. With topics including sustainable port management, electrification, AP application, digital platforms, and marine robotics.
According to the ANEN, Spain registered 4,084 new recreational boats between January and August 2025, representing a 5.3 per cent decrease compared to the same period last year. Despite this downturn, organisers view the expansion of the show as a strategic step to strengthen Spain’s natural sector.
Jordi Carrasco, general director of ANEN, notes: “Nautical activities are an important driver for the blue economy, which is undergoing a moment of profound transformation, and initiatives such as those incorporated in the next edition of the Barcelona Boat Show are an important stimulus and support to strengthen innovation, internationalisation and the competitiveness of our companies.”
Show president Luis Conde says that this year’s edition “marks a turning point in the show’s history, as we are committed to a substantial improvement in the overall quality of the event.” And, event director Josep Antoni Llopert explains the aim is to reposition Barcelona as “a high-end event within the international calendar” over the next three years.
