Barrus moves forward in chandlery with distribution of International Paint

Barrus has teamed up with one of the world’s largest manufacturers of high-performance yacht coatings, boat paints and marine protective coatings: International Paint Ltd.

Part of a continuing quest to build its Marine Equipment Division with the highest quality brands in the industry, Barrus has been working hard to secure this distribution partnership with International Paint, a division of AkzoNobel.

Formed in 1881, the International brand has become synonymous with the highest standard of care for all kinds of vessels, and is an integral part of boat building and maintenance. This new partnership will build on International’s current market position and provide a distribution service that is renowned nationwide.

International’s customers will now benefit from increased levels of customer service and availability, backed-up with Barrus’s own electronic ordering portal, DIAL 247. The online portal offers live information on stock, order entry, back order status and order history to give the network of over 3,000 authorised dealers full control over their inventory and products on display.

International Paint products will be stocked at the Barrus warehouse in Bicester, chosen specifically for its ideal transport routes. SailForce, supported by a specialised Marine Equipment team at Barrus, will be on hand to assist in all aspects of the business.

Barrus is also fully equipped to support its customer base with an in-house merchandising team who are well-versed in creating tailored planograms to suit each in-store display and assist in new installations.

International Paint joins a portfolio of over 20 new brands in the Barrus Marine Equipment Division which complement the existing range of parts and accessories distributed by Barrus.

For the first time at Southampton International Boat Show, International will be on display on the new Barrus Marine Equipment stand, J316, which is dedicated to showcasing all of these newly signed-up brands together under the Barrus umbrella.
