The International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) has appointed Ben Grigg as its new programme director, effective immediately.

Grigg has held senior roles and provided consultancy to many leading brands in the leisure marine industry and brings years of experience in strategic development and delivering multifaceted collaborative projects.

ICOMIA is set to hold the World Marinas Conference 2025 from 15–17 October in Venice, Italy, this year.

According to ICOMIA, Grigg’s appointment underpins the organisation’s commitment to strengthening global partnerships and delivering high-impact programmes that support the sustainable growth, safety, social responsibility and the environment in the recreational marine sector.

Grigg’s expertise in programme design, stakeholder engagement, and governance will be pivotal as ICOMIA continues to expand its global reach and influence.

Joe Lynch, CEO of ICOMIA, says: “We are thrilled to welcome Ben to the ICOMIA leadership team. His deep understanding of the marine industry and proven leadership will be invaluable as we drive forward our strategic objectives and deliver value to our members worldwide.”

“I’m honoured to join ICOMIA at such a dynamic time for the marine industry,” adds Grigg. “I look forward to working with the team and our global network to advance programmes that support innovation, environmental responsibility, and the long-term success of our sector.”
