Bering Yachts signs contract for first B165 explorer yacht
Bering 165
Bering Yachts has confirmed the sale of the first hull of its B165 explorer yacht, the flagship model of the company’s newly established superyacht division.
The contract was concluded with Aberton Yachts acting as the buyer’s broker. The sale marks a significant market endorsement for the B165, an explorer superyacht concept.
Measuring 50 metres in length with a 9-metre beam and 499 gross tonnes, the B165 explorer yacht has been purpose-designed to redefine the capabilities of an ocean-crossing vessel. According to the Turkish shipyard, the flagship combines the long-range, seakeeping qualities of Bering Yachts’ steel explorer heritage with superyacht-level volume, refinement and lifestyle versatility.

The Bering 165 was developed with Swiss studio Valentin Design leading the exterior styling, and the general arrangement created in collaboration with Aberton Yachts.
The resulting five-deck layout is designed to maximise space while retaining full ocean-crossing capability.
Explorer heritage meets sub-500 GT superyacht capability
Power comes from twin 1,300 hp Caterpillar main engines, delivering a claimed cruising speed of 10 knots and top speed of 15 knots. The 65,000-litre fuel capacity provides a range in excess of 5,000 nautical miles at economical speed, enabling global passagemaking without the need for refuelling.
Naval architecture by Eureka Yachts was key to shaping Bering’s B165 as a capable, efficient explorer yacht, engineered for true ocean-crossing within the sub-500 GT class.
Eureka Yachts says: ‘Elegant design lines supported by solid shipyard build quality – this balance is what gives the Bering 165 its true ocean-going character.’

The owner’s deck forms a private place, comprising a full-beam master suite with a large ensuite and walk-in wardrobe, a separate lounge, private pantry, dumbwaiter service, and a secluded aft terrace complete with sunbeds, Jacuzzi, sofa and coffee table.
The bridge deck mixes navigation with social areas: an indoor-outdoor lounge with sit-up bar, day head and open-air cinema complete with firepit. A private crow’s nest lookout on the hardtop offers a 360° viewing point – ideal for stargazing or simply enjoying the horizon in peace.
The shipyard says discussions for further hulls are already in progress.
Valentin Design’s exterior treatment aims to provide spaces proportioned to support real life on board: generous tender & toy garages, adaptability to different climates, substantial load-carrying capacity and areas deliberately created for memorable moments with family, friends or guests.
Valentin Design team comments: ‘A genuine crossover explorer that delivers real added value to life on board.

Igor Cherentaev, from Aberton Yachts, says: “Over the course of the year, all three teams kept pushing the boundaries – setting increasingly ambitious goals, finding smart solutions and constantly balancing everything until we arrived at what we believe is one of the strongest explorer yachts in the sub-500 GT class. We put every bit of our expertise into creating a layout that is thoughtful, comfortable and logical for both guests and crew. The result is a highly competitive yacht packed with standout, unique solutions. We’re sincerely convinced that the Bering 165 will be a big success very soon.”
