B&G launches new Hercules processor and expansion module

Sailing electronics manufacturer B&G has launched a new Hercules sailing performance processor. The device is said to deliver advanced data in an instant, with enhanced settings, and maximised connectivity and compatibility. B&G has also introduced a new Hercules expansion module, allowing sailors to integrate additional sensors and expand their sailing system for cruising or racing.

Kevin Steinbraker, VP and general manager, digital systems of Navico Group says: “A new solution for advanced cruising and racing sailors, the Hercules sailing processor offers greater compatibility across our suite of sailing electronics. This instrument will take your sailing system to the next level.”

B&G says the new processor delivers accurate sailing data sets including advanced true wind calculations, motion correction and calibration, advanced heel and correction settings, boat speed calibration and advanced Starline calculations, along with Polar Tables for performance data. A guided onboarding system and automated calibration for core sensors simplifies the set up and management.

It’s compatible with existing Triton 2, H5000, Nemesis and HV displays, as well as Vulcan and Zeus chartplotters, and can be expanded to accommodate additional inputs.

In December 2022, B&G announced a new partnership with sailboat manufacturer Dufour Yachts, making B&G Dufour’s preferred electronics supplier across its fleet of 32ft to 61ft sailing boats.
