BlueNav announces new distribution partnership for Spain

BlueNav

Marine electric add-on engine manufacturer BlueNav has signed a new distribution agreement with Azimut Electronics. This covers handling sales, service, installation, and after-sales support for BlueNav products in Spain, catering to both leisure and commercial boats.

The agreement was formalised through Azimut Electronics’ marine division, Azimut Marine, at boot Düsseldorf.

BlueNav, established in 2020, develops electric and hybrid engines for boats. These motorisation solutions are designed to convert medium-sized boats, ranging from eight to 15 metres long, normally propelled by combustion engines, into hybrid electric boats.

At the heart of BlueNav’s offering is BlueSpin, an electric motor that can be installed in both newly constructed boats and existing ones as a retrofit option.

BlueNav and Azimut Marine will join forces on several boat shows in Spain during 2024.

“Azimut Electronics is delighted to announce its partnership with BlueNav through Azimut Marine,” says Jason Hawke, director of purchasing and relations at Azimut Electronics. “With our highly skilled sales and technical teams dedicated to serving the OEM and refit markets in Spain, this collaboration represents a perfect alignment between two industry-leading companies.

“Our shared commitment to maintaining a robust inventory resonates with BlueNav, as we have identified many applications to the BlueSpin in Spain and, therefore, several close opportunities. Azimut Marine is aligned with BlueNav on their professionalism and technical teams, and we are excited about forging a constructive partnership.”

In November 2023, BlueNav signed two new distribution contracts, as it expanded with sales and service dealers for the UK, Ireland and the Netherlands.
