Boatpoint makes management changes
UK-based boat sales company Boatpoint has made three promotions across its management team, which the firm says will support its ongoing expansion.
Phil Jones has been promoted to the position of group new boat sales manager, following the retirement of Andrew Hyland. Chris Ibbotson has been promoted to the position of group brokerage manager, while Kevin MacDonald has been promoted to group assistant manager: new boat sales.
“Andrew’s experience and breadth of knowledge will be greatly missed by his colleagues at Boatpoint and the wider industry; and whilst we are sorry to see him go, we wish him all the best for his retirement,” says Michael Prideaux, managing director at Boatfolk.
“The Boatpoint group is experiencing industry-leading growth, and as we prepare to expand further in 2023, now is the perfect time to make key changes to ensure the right structure takes us into this exciting new phase.”
Boatpoint currently operates eight offices around the UK and was founded by national boating business, Boatfolk. Boatfolk has 11 marinas nationwide.
Boatpoint is also the main dealer for boat brands including Jeanneau, Elan, Sasga and Yamarin, and is the exclusive dealer for Quarken powerboats.
