Bryton Marine acquires Canadian marina

Bryton Marine Group, a family owned company operating in the US and Canada, has acquired Freshwater Marina in Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada.
The news comes after Bryton Marine Group acquired Alumacraft from Canadian firm BRP — maker of Sea-Doo watercraft and the parent company of boat brands including Manitou and Quintrex — in April.
Bryton Marine Group specialises in aluminium boats ranging in size from 14ft to 150ft (4.3m to 45.7m), with its six brands serving commercial, government, sportfishing and adventure boating markets.
Freshwater Marina will now become part of the broader Bryton Marine Group network. The firm says the move supports its expansion strategy for EagleCraft Boats and forms part of a longer-term plan to grow its presence in the region.
Bryton Marine Group has also recently announced the return of James Irwin as president and chief operating officer of AlumaCraft Boats, effective 1 May 2025.
“We are very excited about this acquisition,” says Byron Bolton, CEO of Bryton Marine Group. “This investment in Campbell River reinforces our commitment to the community and further aligns with our purpose to enrich local and maritime communities for future generations.”
Bryton Marine Group, based in Vernon, British Columbia, owns All American Marine, BRIX Marine, Duckworth, EagleCraft, KingFisher Boats and Weldcraft.
Freshwater Marina is located on Vancouver Island and offers a variety of boating services. The marina offers a range of moorage and waterfront services at its Campbell River site.
