French catamaran manufacturer CatanaGroup has announced the launch of Seaty, a new brand focused on modular, floating living and working spaces designed for marine installations.

Targeting the emerging market for water-based accommodation and office spaces, the company positions this move as a response to increasing demand for eco-conscious lifestyle and workplace solutions.

Seaty units will be built on a catamaran platform and intended for use in bays, harbours, lakes, rivers, and canals. The modules are configurable for both residential and commercial use, offering a self-contained, adaptable alternative to traditional waterfront real estate.

Production of Seaty units will take place at CatanaGroup’s Averio facility in Portugal, one of the group’s five production sites. The first Seaty unit is scheduled for its public debut at the La Rochelle Boat Show 2025, taking place from 23 to 28 September.

Boris Compagnon, sales and marketing director at CatanaGroup, emphasises: “Seaty was created in response to growing demand in the outdoor leisure market. A demand which CatanaGroup is able to meet in terms of innovation, services and industrialisation.”

According to CatanaGroup, Seaty units will appeal to both private owners and professional operations in the tourism and hospitality sectors. The concept reflects the broader trend within the marine industry towards integrating sustainable, on-water structures into urban and natural settings.
