Hong Kong-based builder, Cheoy Lee Yachts, has announced it will introduce its new Discovery Series and debut the Cheoy Lee 130 Explorer yacht at the upcoming 2025 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS).

The Cheoy Lee 130 Explorer, named Juanky, was recently delivered and has returned from a period of owner cruising in time to be showcased at the show.

Developed in collaboration with Nick Boksa of Boksa Marine Design, the new Discovery Series line represents steel-hulled and long-range explorer yachts with current models including the Discovery 115, 120 and 127.

B.Y. Lo, Cheoy Lee’s executive director, notes: “We are proud to have the opportunity at FLIBS to introduce plans for the Discovery Series. This robust new explorer yacht line and the new Cheoy Lee 130 truly showcase the modern yacht-building capability of our family shipyard.”

Features of these explorer yachts include options such as a bridge-deck owner suite, an expansive beach club, and a sundeck with a bar, grill, Jacuzzi and multiple lounging areas.

According to the builder, the series reflects Cheoy Lee’s commercial shipbuilding heritage, highlighting the robust systems, engineering and reliability necessary for long-range cruising in remote areas.

“The Discovery series draws on everything we know about building seaworthy global cruisers and hardy, reliable commercial vessels and workboats, and combines it all into an elegant, contemporary ocean-going yacht that delivers luxurious world cruising without compromise on facilities or service,” adds Lo.

At FLIBS, alongside the CL 130 Explorer, Cheoy Lee’s sister brand CL Yachts will display its family-friendly cruisers, the CLB72 and the CLB65 models.

Appointments to view the Cheoy Lee 130 Explorer or discuss the Discovery Series line with Nick Boksa will be available at FLIBS throughout the show, running from 29 October to 2 November.
