CL Yachts launches first Sea Activity Vessel

CL Yachts has launched its new flagship, the CLX96 SAV (sea activity vessel), from its shipyard in Zhuhai, China.

This new 29.5-metre superyacht was designed by New York-born, Milan-based designer Jozeph Forakis, who is best known for his work outside the yacht industry.

The yacht has an unusual “double reverse-angle” house, and CL Yachts describes its rugged new CLX96 SAV series as “workboat chic”. The boat builder says the CLX96 combines state-of-the-art technology and performance with a bold aesthetic, built to connect modern explorers with nature, adventure, and effortless luxury.

There are two distinct entertainment zones on the sky deck and foredeck – the Terrazza Portoghese and Piazza del Sole.

The CLX96 takes its SAV moniker from a play on the term SUV, or sport utility vehicle. The yacht’s contemporary design has received international recognition, winning a Good Design Award and a bronze A’ Design Award, as well as gaining accolades at the International Yacht & Aviation Awards 2021.

The CLX96 will debut in 2022.
