Cockwells reveals new limousine tender design

The British firm says the semi-production 9.8m limousine tender features rich timber veneer, a large glass roof, a spacious aft deck, and seating for up to 12 guests. These elements have been tailored to align with the aesthetics of the client’s mothership.
Powered by twin Yanmar 4LV 250hp engines, the vessel can reach speeds of up to 35 knots. It also features joystick control for enhanced manoeuvrability and a Seakeeper system for improved stability. Custom stainless-steel detailing, lighting systems, and a self-launching anchoring mechanism add functional yet luxurious touches.

Ward adds: “It has been an honour to work alongside the client’s team to create this highly customised design, achieving a level of luxury and attention to detail that its discerning clientele has come to expect. At this stage, we can confirm two orders of this exclusive semi-production tender, with the potential for more as the client builds further mothership vessels.”
Pendennis Shipyard has recently taken a majority interest in Cockwells Modern & Classic Boatbuilding. Cockwells will continue to operate independently with the existing management team headed by managing director, Dean Short with Dave Cockwell retaining his role of sales and technical director.
Cockwell has confirmed to MIN that the limousine tender will be constructed by boatbuilders at Cockwells in the firm’s purpose-built facility at Mylor Creek Boatyard near Falmouth.

The designs for Cockwells’ newest tender will be available for viewing at Stand QJ5 during the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show, taking place from 25 to 28 September.
