Leadership changes at Pleasurecraft, Indmar and Velvet Drive

US boatbuilder Correct Craft has announced leadership changes within its subsidiaries, Pleasurecraft Engine Group, Velvet Drive Transmissions, and Indmar Marine Engines.

Trey Thurman has been appointed president of Pleasurecraft Engine Group. Thurman, who has 22 years of experience in the marine industry including 17 years at Pleasurecraft, will oversee global operations for the Pleasurecraft brands in his new role.

Thurman says: “I am excited and honoured to have the opportunity to lead our team and continue the legacy Pleasurecraft has built over nearly five decades of serving the inboard marine industry.”

John Bolton has been appointed president of Velvet Drive Transmissions. Correct Craft says Bolton will spearhead the brand’s global operations, focusing on product innovation and growth opportunities. “I am excited and honoured for the opportunity to guide our team and continue the long-standing tradition of quality and innovation,” Bolton says.

Tim Maher (pictured), a 14-year veteran of Indmar Marine Engines, has been promoted to company president. Maher comments: “It’s been incredible to experience Indmar’s growth over the last 14 years – I am honoured and appreciate the opportunity to lead our team as we prepare for the next 14 years of sustainable growth.”

Correct Craft acquired inboard engine specialist Indmar Marine Engines, which had been family-owned for 50 years, in 2022.

Thurman, Bolton, and Maher will report directly to Mark McKinney, the president of Liberty Technologies, a Correct Craft subsidiary that oversees Pleasurecraft Engine Group, Indmar Marine Engines, and Velvet Drive Transmissions.
