BRYD reveals details of new CR Yachts flagship

BRYD has revealed the first details of the new CR Yachts flagship – the CR490 DS, Deck Saloon Blue Water Cruiser. 

The new CR490 DS is a collaboration between performance yacht and powercraft design firm BYRD and boat builder Sweden Yachts Group.

Boat two is sold, and the mould production is now underway at the Sweden Yachts Group facilities in Kungsviken.

BRYD says the 490DS has been developed to encompass all the attributes associated with blue water cruiser sailing characteristics.

The aft cockpit design has been developed with a spacious yet protected seating area, incorporating a glass windshield and bimini to shelter the crew from the elements.

The deck saloon gives the option for customised cabins and utility rooms.

Mattias Rutgersson, SYG managing director says: “This collaboration is positive for the development and future of the group, keeping us moving forwards and ensuring the continued production of world-class sailing yachts.”

BRYD has also adopted under deck furling systems and the option for in-mast roller reefing for push-button control.
