Marine Structures has been appointed the exclusive Australasian dealer for Seaflex, a global supplier of mooring systems for floating structures. The agreement will expand the availability of Seaflex’s sustainable mooring technology in the region.

Seaflex produces elastic mooring systems designed for floating docks, wave attenuators, and other marine applications. The systems are intended to provide stability while minimising environmental impact. Seaflex products have been installed in various marine environments worldwide and are designed for long-term performance.

The partnership will focus on supplying mooring solutions for projects across Australasia, with Marine Structures managing distribution and support for Seaflex’s product range.

An example of the world’s leading subsea anchoring system can be found at Brooke Street Pier in Hobart, Tasmania. The 5000 tonne, multi-story floating pier in Hobart’s CBD is the departure point for the famous Mona Museum and many would not even realise that the structure is floating.  This Seaflex installation is maintained by Hunter Diving and Marine Construction, the long term dealer for Marine Structures in Tasmania.

“This partnership is a testament to our commitment to bringing world-class marine solutions to the Australasian market,” says John Hogan, director of Marine Structures. “Seaflex’s proven technology aligns perfectly with our mission to provide sustainable and reliable mooring systems. We’re excited to introduce these innovative solutions to our clients and contribute to the future of marine infrastructure.”

Robin Wilhemson, sales leader of Seaflex, adds: “We’re delighted to welcome Marine Structures to the Seaflex family. Their extensive expertise and strong reputation in the region make them the ideal partner to represent our products. Together, we aim to support the growing demand for environmentally conscious mooring solutions in Australasia.”

Marine Structures says the technology is especially relevant for large superyacht and wave attenuation projects as well as deep water and rock applications. With Seaflex’s elastic mooring systems now part of its portfolio, Marine Structures intends to address challenging applications as well as providing a clean no pile aesthetic.

The Seaflex environmentally friendly mooring (EFM) solution is designed to eliminate chain damage from moorings.

Marine Structures specialises in the design, construction, and installation of pontoons, jetties, marina systems, and waterfront structures. With a strong focus on innovation, quality, customer satisfaction and sustainability, Marine Structures is dedicated to delivering exceptional marine projects across Australia and globally.
