Exide Technologies has announced the launch of the EZ800 Dual EFB battery, a new addition to its marine & leisure portfolio designed to meet rising demand for durable, dual-purpose energy solutions in recreational and marine applications.

Manufactured in Europe, the EZ800 marine battery uses proven enhanced flooded battery (EFB) technology to deliver high cranking power, fast charge acceptance, and reliable cycling performance in demanding operating environments.

The maintenance-free battery is built in a D31 box size and supports both starting and service functions, making it suitable for a wide range of vessels and leisure vehicles. Key features include extended service life and improved corrosion resistance.

Guido Scanagatta, director of product management & application automotive at Exide Technologies, comments: “With the EZ800, we are responding to the growing need for reliable, high-performance batteries in the marine and recreational sectors. This product combines durability, efficiency, and European manufacturing excellence to deliver real value to our customers.”

The new model also opens additional opportunities for aftermarket distributors and marine equipment installers as interest in dual-purpose battery systems continues to grow.
