Fibre Mechanics announces CF 520 Racing Yacht

Fibre Mechanics (the employee-owned custom yacht builder) and Carkeek Design are collaborating on a new semi-custom IRC 52ft Racing Yacht for 2021.

This yacht is the next development on Carkeek Design Partners Fast 40 designs. The CF 520 is a semi-custom racing yacht, built from full production carbon reinforced tooling, and constructed in carbon epoxy pre-preg with a honeycomb core.

Fibre Mechanics anticipates that racing teams will customise the layout and equipment specifications to match their particular racing programme. As such, it’s offering factory visits in October and November to its Lymington base where production tooling is already underway.
