Flare disposal day announced
Premier Marinas in conjunction with safety experts, Seago Yachting will be holding a flares disposal day at Falmouth Marina on Saturday 16 October 2021. Taking place at Falmouth Marina’s boatyard from 10am to 2pm, it is a chance for boat owners to bring along out-of-date flares, have them checked and disposed of safely and also buy replacement Seago flares.
The first three flares will be free of charge for Premier berth holders, with additional flares charged at £2.00. Visitors will be charged £2.00 per flare disposal.
Premier Falmouth marina manager, Mark Evans says: “We are pleased to be able to offer this service to our berth holders as we know how hard it is to dispose of flares safely. This is the first time we have run this type of event and it is a good reminder for boat owners to check expiry dates on safety equipment regularly and replace items before they expire. It’s the only way you can be sure to be properly equipped in an emergency.”
For those who intend to dispose of a large number of flares please email email@example.com
