A significant consolidation is reshaping the synthetic decking sector as Flexiteek International brings its Danish distributor, Flexiteek Denmark, directly into the group. The move tightens an already long-standing relationship and signals a more unified global strategy aimed at scaling production, installation capability and OEM support across key marine markets.

Flexiteek Denmark now joins established operations in the UK, USA, Sweden, and Poland.

Flexiteek says that the acquisition further strengthens its position as the world’s largest manufacturer of synthetic PVC decking and global provider of OEM decking solutions. The group manages each stage from extrusion & manufacturing, through deck design and fabrication, to installation, training and after-sales support.

Leadership views on next stage of growth

“With Flexiteek now recognised by many leading OEMs as the best solution for appearance, longevity and sustainability, it was inevitable that we would continue to expand our fabrication capabilities and expertise,” says Adam Ramsden, group CEO. “We are delighted to have been able to secure this partnership, as a step-change that sets foundations for the next phase of growth.”

The partnership marks the next step in a long-standing relationship between the two businesses, which have developed in parallel over the past two decades. By bringing Flexiteek Denmark into the group, Flexiteek International further consolidates its global expertise, capacity and service offering – and welcomes Mikkel Svendsen, Anders Bagger and their colleagues.

“Since the introduction of Flexiteek synthetic decking over 25 years ago, we have developed our skills and expertise, working side-by-side with our OEM customers to ensure the highest level of installation quality and design innovation,” says Mikkel Svenden, MD Flexiteek Denmark. “This is the next phase of development for Flexiteek, and we are very happy to be part of the group”.

In 2024, the Dame Award-nominated third-generation Flexiteek (information about Flexiteek 3 is available on the company’s website) established a new standard in synthetic decking. The range is made using a bio-attributed PVC, removing fossil-fuel-based PVC for the first time and is available in fifteen colours, including the new Tritone range. There are up to three caulking colours to select from: cool white, contemporary grey and traditional black.

Unified global service for OEM partners

With increased capacity, enhanced expertise and a unified global network of fabricators and installers, the Flexiteek Group says it is now uniquely positioned to deliver consistent, high-quality solutions to boat builders and partners worldwide, while continuing to drive innovation in synthetic marine decking.

As demand grows for more sustainable and design-led marine materials, the integration positions Flexiteek to push further ahead on consistency, capacity and innovation. With a single global network now more closely aligned, the group is setting out a clear ambition: to become the default supplier for high-performance synthetic decking worldwide.
