Flux Marine, developer of electric outboards and battery systems, has partnered with Zodiac Marine, a global manufacturer of inflatable boats.

The collaboration will introduce electric propulsion to the brand’s renowned RIBs, debuting the Zodiac Medline 6.8 Electric, which integrates Flux Marine’s FM115 all-electric outboard.

The Medline 6.8 combines Zodiac’s hull design and deck layout with the instant torque, quiet operation, and long-lasting power of Flux Marine’s propulsion system. The first collaborative boat was displayed at the recent Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS).

Tim March II, chief operations officer of Zodiac Nautic, notes: “With more than a century of innovation behind us, Zodiac Nautic is excited to join Flux Marine as we lead the way into the electrified future of marine propulsion.

“Our vessels have pioneered new ways to explore and enjoy the oceans, and this collaboration continues that legacy with sustainable, quiet power for the next generation of boating.”

Ben Sorkin, CEO of Flux Marine, comments: “Zodiac has always been a symbol of adventure, innovation and performance on the water, and this collaboration allows us to demonstrate how high-powered electric marine propulsion can elevate our customers’ boating experience.

“Our goal has always been to deliver electric propulsion systems that exceed the expectations of everyday boating applications. Our partnership with Zodiac reinforces our mission to bring electric boating to the masses through leading OEM boat builders, and we couldn’t be more excited to launch this partnership with the Zodiac team.”

Earlier this year, Flux Marine also teamed up with Highfield Boats as its first official installation partner.

Flux Marine’s systems are designed to simplify boating while delivering performance. The FM115 outboard provides rapid acceleration, efficient cruising, and minimal maintenance, powered by 84 kWh batteries. The helm features an integrated touchscreen for real-time monitoring, while the Flux mobile app allows remote connection.

Charging options are versatile, ranging from standard marina shore power to DC fast chargers that can top off batteries in an hour.

Pre-orders for 2026 delivery of the electric Medline 6.8 are now open.
