Freedom Boat Club opens in Marbella
Freedom Boat Club (FBC) has expanded into Marbella, marking a new location in southern Spain as part of its broader growth strategy across Europe. The club, which is part of Brunswick Corporation, now operates 40 locations in Europe and more than 410 globally.
The news comes a month after FBC confirmed it is opening three new locations in Spain, in the Port of Masnou in Catalonia, Marina PortBlanc in Calpe on the Costa Blanca, and Port of El Molinar in Mallorca.
The Marbella club is located in Puerto Banús, a marina known for its luxury infrastructure. At the Marbella site, members will have access to products and technologies from Brunswick brands, including Sea Ray and Quicksilver boats, Navico marine electronics and Mercury Marine outboard engines.
“The addition of Marbella expands Freedom Boat Club’s European locations, offering members more choices for embarking on new adventures along the stunning coastlines,” says Arturo Gutierrez, general manager of Freedom Boat Club for the EMEA region. “The new Freedom Boat Club location in Marbella is expected to boost tourism and contribute to the local economy. By attracting visitors and promoting boating-related commerce, the club plays a vital role in enhancing the region’s dynamic maritime industry.”
Freedom Boat Club plans to mark the launch with a series of open house events. These will allow potential members to explore available boats and learn about membership details. Dates for the events will be confirmed later.
On Thursday (24 April 2025), Brunswick revealed its Q1 2025 results, which show that Brunswick’s recurring revenue businesses and channels, including FBC, contributed nearly 60 per cent to the group’s first-quarter adjusted operating earnings.
