GN Espace launches ‘The OceanChef’

GN Espace, the UK based galley equipment specialist, launches a new website called ‘TheOceanChef’.

It specifically targets cruising and bluewater sailors who have a passion for good food.  It knows from conversations with bluewater sailors, who have bought GN Espace marine stoves, that cooking and good food means the world to them.

Research tells them that one of the main joys of cruising is experiencing different countries and foods wherever in the world you may be.  So GN Espace came up with the idea of creating a Cruising Guide for Food Lovers. What makes it unique is that the recipes are contributed by the locals themselves, after all, the locals know best what makes the local food special.

The website is designed to be a friendly and informative reference point for the cruising sailor.  No Haute Cuisine, instead an inspiration to enjoy ‘real’ local recipes or food.

Recipes are easy to find using the interactive map and there is a useful link through to the recipe contributor.  It’s all rather good for planning your next cruise from your armchair.

GN Espace is working hard and is continually adding recipes to this new foodie community of cruising sailors. It aims to add recipes from all over the world, from the popular, as well as more adventurous cruising grounds.

For those planning extensive ocean passages, the website also has useful information about ‘Doing the ARC’, with GN Espace Director, Julian Kimberley, sharing his experience of shopping, preparing for and feeding the crew during the passage.
