Golden Horizon sails into UK

Tradewind Voyages’ Golden Horizon has arrived in the UK ahead of a revised schedule of coastal voyages.

The original 2021 UK schedule was forced to change several times in order to comply with the government’s latest restrictions, says Tradewind Voyages.

The 272-passenger vessel arrived in Portland last week but is sailing with a limited capacity of 136 due to government restrictions.

The ship will embark on a six-night ‘dress rehearsal’ sailing on July 1 to Falmouth, Fowey, Dartmouth and Poole followed by a second identical itinerary departing on July 7.

Five voyages have been confirmed from July 15, with prices starting from £849.

The voyages include four departures from Dover, plus a departure from Harwich on August 4 during Cowes Week on the Isle of Wight.

As previously reported by Marine Industry News, the boat is world’s largest commercial sailing ship at 525ft long and 8,440 tons with 6,300 sq metres of sails

At full capacity it can accommodate 272 guests in 140 sea-facing cabins. The boat boasts two outside bars, a piano bar, library, spa and a gym.
