Haven Knox-Johnston to introduce new marine business unit at SIBS
British boat insurance provider Haven Knox-Johnston is introducing its new marine business unit, incorporating sister brands Haven Knox-Johnston Commercial and Haven Knox-Johnston Specialist, at the upcoming Southampton International Boat Show (15-24 September 2023).
“The Southampton Boat Show is the perfect platform to introduce our exciting new marine business unit,” says Paul Knox-Johnson, marketing manager for Haven Knox-Johnston.
“We are very proud of the collective wealth of experience and knowledge within Haven Knox-Johnston Specialist and Haven Knox-Johnston Commercial, and as the show is one of the biggest events of the boating calendar, it seemed a fantastic opportunity to bring together the great people we have on the team, and introduce them to the marine community.”
Haven Knox-Johnston’s new business unit is sponsoring several of the industry events taking place at the upcoming 2023 edition of the Southampton International Boat Show, the UK’s largest in-water boating event.
The Beach Haven & Watersports Lake
This will be the new flagship addition to this year’s show, creating Southampton’s first sandy beach and watersports lake, at the heart of the show. The Haven Knox-Johnston takeover allows visitors to try a host of different water sports, from a leisurely paddle across the lake on a SUP to an exhilarating canoe race against an Olympian.
Women in Marine
The popular Women in Marine event returns to SIBS on Thursday 21 September 2023, and is sponsored by Haven Knox Johnson and Lewmar, and additionally supported by Marine Industry News, Barton Marine and Barrus.
The programme involves a number of engaging events throughout the day, focused on wellness, networking, panel discussions and mentoring.
Vickie Fox, senior account executive at Haven Knox-Johnston Commercial, will be joining a panel of industry thought leaders to discuss her experience of working in the marine sector. This session will cover a wide range of topics and provide attendees with valuable insights to navigate the landscape of the maritime industry.
Trade Tuesday
Haven Knox-Johnston Commercial is also extending its sponsorship to the inaugural Trade Tuesday, which is also sponsored by the British Marine Professional Services association and Marine Industry News.
Trade Tuesday is a free-to-attend event for members of the marine industry, taking place on 19 September 2023. The event provides members of British Marine with a friendly environment for networking and the opportunity to attend informative sessions about the latest industry matters.
TYHA Marina Awards
As title sponsor of the TYHA Marina of the Year Awards 2023, Haven Knox-Johnston is hosting the ceremony at the show. The awards, which are owned and operated by The Yacht Harbour Association, will bring together industry leaders to celebrate the winners and recognise excellence in the marina community.
New for 2023 is the ‘Sustainable Marina’ award that will recognise the achievements of marinas in their efforts to become more sustainable.
