Henri-Lloyd’s Fremantle collection awarded Clothing Innovation of the Year 2019

The Fremantle Collection, aimed at the Keel and Sports Boat sailor, was the first new range of products from the relaunched Henri-Lloyd following a change in ownership and leadership in June 2018. The collection’s been awarded Clothing Innovation of the Year at the British Yachting Awards.

The range is inspired by the original sailing gear that was created for America’s Cup sailing legend Dennis Conner.

GORE-TEX PRO was chosen as the principle shell fabric and features a ‘Breeze Clip’ which allows for full ventilation whilst keeping the jacket in a semi-closed position.

A Spray Skirt stops water jetting up inside the jacket whilst also keeping warmth to the lower back when stretching and reaching.

Sustainability was considered in its creation and in February 2020, new products will be launched in the form of the MAV Hoody and Crew, each created from the recycled polyester from the equivalent of twenty-seven 1.5L plastic PET bottles.
