High performance design for Ocean Safety’s new Kru Sport lifejacket

Comfortable fit for inshore and offshore sailors

A uniquely sculpted high performance lifejacket, the Kru Sport, is the next latest model to join Ocean Safety’s new 2018 Kru Range.

The Kru Sport sets itself apart from other lifejackets with its minimalist scoop back neck design and slim line construction, optimising comfort and movement.

Like all Kru lifejackets the Sport is available as standard or as an ADV model, so-called because of its advanced features, which includes a lifejacket light and sprayhood. Both variants comes with a UML MK5 operating head.

Yet the Kru Sport is no lightweight. It is a robust jacket featuring ‘wave barrier’ technology, which rights a person in less than five seconds, keeping the wearer’s airways free from channelled water, reducing the risk of secondary drowning.

The design of the Kru Sport means that you barely know that you are wearing it, so it’s perfect for active sailors, both inshore and offshore. Advanced features include AIS-ready fitting, to accommodate a personal AIS recovery unit, and a fast donning plastic buckle (or stainless bar buckle on the harness version).

Single side adjustment with quick release tab, ensures the jacket is quick and simple to fit and remove. With the quick burst zip the lifejacket automatically inflates in seconds. A single contoured back strap and single crotch strap add to the no fuss design and yet contribute to the creation of this great new jacket.

At 170N the Kru Sport has ample buoyancy for adults and is available in a range of colours.

The Kru Sport will be available from all major retailers from mid-April.
