IBEX launches new theme for 2025: Fast Forward

People throng the aisles at IBEX

IBEX – or to explicate: The International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference – has announced this year’s theme as Fast Forward. That’s to reflect the pace of innovation shaping the marine industry and as such takes in such topics as next-gen propulsion and sustainable materials to advanced electronics and smarter build technologies.

The show will take place at the Tampa Convention Center 7-9 October, 2025. Organisers recently announced that, from 2027, the show will take place in December. The thought process behind that is to reduce disruption caused by hurricane season in Florida, thereby increasing the event’s reliability and growth potential.

“IBEX 2025 is where the marine industry comes together,” says Mary Velline, IBEX Show Director. “We come together not just to showcase what’s next, but to solve today’s challenges and shape a brighter future. United, we move the industry Fast Forward.”

Velline calculates that the show will feature over 700 exhibiting companies. There’s an anticipated total attendance of 8,000 industry professionals, including boat builders, manufacturers, naval architects, distributors, wholesalers and many more.

Registration for IBEX 2025 opens in early June for both exhibitors and visitors. More details can be found on the exhibition’s website.

As well as the exhibits, attendees can expect a full educational conference and a variety of networking events, including the Opening Night Party sponsored by Wet Sounds, and a Mid-Show Mixer sponsored by Roswell Marine.
