ICMS to host networking event and charitable reception at Seawork

Inland and Coastal Marina Systems (ICMS) — specialists in commercial pontoon and crew transfer vessel (CTV) berthing — is hosting a networking event and charitable drinks reception on the opening day of Seawork (13 June 2023) between 3pm and 5pm.

Managing director of maritime civil engineering firm TILT, Ian Dobson is joining ICMS on its stand (M6) at 3.30pm to give a short presentation about adapting harbour infrastructure to meet the needs of future low carbon fuel supply.

Commercial maritime and marine trade professionals are invited to join Dobson on ICMS’ stand and network with like-minded industry colleagues while enjoying a drink.

The event will also be shining a spotlight on the fundraising efforts of Mark Ashley-Miller through his Harbour Master Sailing Challenge. Supported by ICMS, Mark is attempting to sail around the British Isles to meet every Harbour Master in the UK and Ireland, raising money for The Seafarers’ Charity as he goes.

Mark has raised over £20,000 for The Seafarers’ Charity, a non-profit organisation which supports those who work at sea, and their families. Attendees at the drinks reception will be given the opportunity to donate to this worthwhile cause via a specially created QR code on the stand.

“This year at Seawork, we want to engage with our industry colleagues on a more meaningful level and contribute to highlighting and finding a solution to safer crew access to boats used in ports and harbour operations,” says ICMS’ Jon Challis.

“And what better way to do this than encourage people to come together in an informal setting, which also offers people the opportunity to network and possibly discover previously unrecognised synergies.”

In addition, ICMS will be showcasing its all-weather workboat and CTV berthing solutions for port, harbour, and offshore operations. These tailor-made solutions, designed by ICMS’ experienced in-house team, provide safe water access for workers to get afloat all year round, day and night.
