Integrel Solutions appoints commercial chief as turnover doubles
Integrel Solutions has appointed Nick Holland as chief commercial officer and plans to expand its facilities after turnover doubled over the past 12 months. The UK-based marine power and hybrid propulsion company now has an order book worth approximately £7m.
The company says demand from boatbuilders and marine original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) has grown over the past year. It has begun installing Integrel E-Drive, which combines electric propulsion with high-output on-board power generation, and has launched Integrel E-Power for powerboats.
Integrel also plans to launch a boatbuilder programme in 2027. This will give existing and new boatbuilder and OEM partners technical and commercial support as they fit the company’s technology to their vessels.
Holland joins after more than 16 years at Navico Group, where he worked across marine power solutions and integrated technologies. He will help grow Integrel’s international business and build relationships with OEM partners.
Holland says: “I’ve spent much of my career working with boatbuilders and marine OEMs, and I believe we’re entering one of the most significant periods of change our industry has seen. The way we generate, store and use energy onboard is evolving rapidly, creating exciting opportunities for boatbuilders, OEMs and end users alike.
“That’s a big part of what attracted me to Integrel Solutions. What particularly excited me about this opportunity is the chance to help shape that transition with technology that challenges traditional thinking around onboard energy generation, management and propulsion.”
Facilities expansion
Integrel plans to expand its headquarters and operational facilities in Hayle, Cornwall, to make room for the growing business. It also plans further investment in its research and development facilities in Hythe, Southampton, where work on its electric motor technology is under way.
Trevor Howard, CEO of Integrel Solutions, says: “It’s an incredibly exciting time for Integrel Solutions. The level of interest and demand we’re seeing from boatbuilders around the world is unprecedented, and the growth we’ve achieved over the past 12 months is a real reflection of the relevance of our technology and the direction the marine industry is heading.
“We’re seeing a fundamental shift in how the industry thinks about onboard power and propulsion, and Integrel is in a strong position to play an important role in that transition. With E-Drive now being installed and operational on boats globally, the expansion of E-Power into new markets, and the strength of our order book, we’re building real momentum.
“Nick’s appointment is an important addition to the team, and our planned investment in facilities and R&D will give us the capacity and capabilities to take the business forward. We’re ambitious about what comes next, and this is very much the beginning of the next chapter.”
Founded in 2003, Integrel develops marine power generation, storage and propulsion technology. It won the Machinery, Propulsion, Mechanical, and Electrical Systems and Fittings category at the DAME Awards in 2018, along with the Overall DAME Design Award. The company won the category again in 2022 for extending its technology’s capabilities and introducing the E-Drive module for all-electric propulsion.
Integrel Solutions will exhibit at Metstrade 2026 in Hall 3, stand 03.122.
