Jachtwerf Heeg bought out by team – rebrands

Now in its 75th year, the Netherland’s Jachtwerf Heeg is under new ownership and is relocating.

The existing team has taken over the shipyard and will now operate from a new location at Draei 3 in Heeg starting 1 October.

Under the previous leadership of Geert Wijma since 2010, the shipyard expanded into a full-service yacht building company. It now boasts seven sailboat models and a wide range of services.

While numerous boats have been delivered both domestically and internationally, due to the structural shift in demand for newly built sailboats in Europe, Jachtwerf Heeg will primarily focus on offering services such as maintenance, winter storage, brokerage, and supplying sails and parts as well as delivering newly built boats to order.

The current owners say this full-service approach has been very successful for years.
