Latest giga yacht from Benetti delivered

Benetti has delivered a 107m long FB277 M/Y Lana. Its in-house team created both the interior and exterior design of Lana, which has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, a beam of 15.2m and a gross tonnage of 3,900 GT.

The Italian company says Lana‘s stand out features are a diesel-electric propulsion, a large swimming pool, helipad, spa, and plenty of toys and tenders.

Lana has been managed by Imperial acting as the owner’s representative and build supervisor, and was kept at the yard during the winter season following the client’s desire to add additional features.

Rigorous testing was carried out in Livorno by Benetti technicians under the remote supervision and direction of the equipment’s manufacturers, respectively based in England, Norway and Sweden. In difficult circumstances, the remote approach that had to be adopted, also on technical aspects, proved to be a true test of a new way of working, the team says.

Benetti’s giga yacht construction program is the result of significant investment that the shipyard has made over time both in terms of technical resources and investments to allow the upgrade of the infrastructure and the construction processes.

“We are proud to have delivered another giga yacht in our giga season,” says Benetti’s President, Paolo Vitelli. “Lana is an example of excellence: outstanding quality, unique style, and an icon of Made in Italy. A particular thanks to the owner who trusted Benetti for this creation. We are happy to have met all his expectations.”

Lana can accommodate up to 12 guests across eight cabins, including seven VIP rooms on the main deck.

“Being linked to the second 100m+ superyacht ever delivered in Italy by the private shipyard Benetti is a pride that we share with the builder. It was a pleasure to collaborate once again with their professional teams and their dynamic behaviour in a proactive atmosphere,” says Imperial’s Director, Julia Stewart.
