Lofrans’ and Max Power launch new products at annual convention

Lofrans' & MAX POWER Convention 2023 (3)

Lofrans’ and Max Power have reported the successful conclusion of their annual convention, which took place at LaLiBay Resort & Spa, on the island of Aegina, in Greece.

Official distributors and service stations of Lofrans’ and Max Power travelled from across the globe to join a two-day event with a packed agenda, from 27-29 September 2023.

Founded in Italy in 1966, Lofrans’ designs and manufactures windlasses and anchor management solutions. Max Power, a manufacturer of bow and stern thrusters, was founded in 1987, in Mandelieu, France.

In total, more than 70 of the firms’ partners and colleagues gathered to participate in discussions and presentations. During the event, the organisers presented new products from both Lofrans’ and Max Power, designed in response to fresh market feedback.

The new Dark Version of the X1 and X2 vertical windlasses was introduced at the event, keeping up with the latest OEM market trend of choosing black colour for new builds.

Another addition to Lofrans’ windlass range is Razza – the first stainless steel (AISI 316L) horizontal windlass produced by Lofrans’, which is also the firm’s most compact to date.

The new Drum Winch for fast and easy rope and chain anchoring for boats up to 40 feet/12 metres was also on display.

Finally, the new Hand Held Remote Controls LFR 200 (2 buttons) and LFR 400 (4 buttons) were also launched, along with other re-designed remote controls.

All newly launched products are included in the new Lofrans’ Catalogue, which was launched during the Convention.

The launch of the new ECO Proportional Series by Max Power was deemed to be a highlight of the convention, attracting plenty of interest during a subsequent Q&A session.

This new series is said to be an evolution in the market of thrusters due to its AC Brushless electric motor, for a more economical approach, resulting from reduced power consumption. It consists of three models, based on their thrust: ECO Pro 90, ECO Pro 110 and ECO Pro 130.

More technical-oriented presentations were also given by the Lofrans’ and Max Power teams, discussing environmental trends within the market, such as lithium batteries and the development of 48V equipment.
