German shipyard Lürssen has appointed Luca Raumland as director of sales and marketing.

Raumland, who is departing his role as chief commercial officer at Greenline Yachts, has nearly 20 years of international experience in the yachting sector, with a background in brand development, strategic sales and marketing. Raumland helped to found Greenline’s hybrid superyacht brand, GX Superyachts.

“I’m incredibly proud to have been part of Greenline’s growth and evolution over these past years – and I’m beyond grateful for the passionate team that made it all possible,” Raumland says.

Raumland will work alongside Lürssen’s long-serving sales director, Michael Breman, in the coming years to support a phased transition, while also assuming responsibility for the marketing division.

Raumland adds: “Working with legends like Peter Lürssen and Michael Breman is both exciting and a big responsibility. I look forward to learning from them and contributing to this iconic shipyard in any way I can.”

Peter Lürssen says: “At Lürssen, we take succession seriously. We have to make sure the future of the company is in good hands – and that means starting early enough to set up the right team. Together with Luca Raumland and Timothy Hamilton, we are building the next generation of sales force that combines deep industry knowledge with fresh ideas.”

Breman adds: “We are thrilled to welcome Luca to the Lürssen family. His expertise and energy will be of great value as we continue to deliver exceptional yachts and experiences to our clients worldwide.”
